Sinopsis segun Wikipedia:
Clannad nos cuenta la historia de Tomoya Okazaki, un estudiante de tercer año de secundaria al que la suerte, desgraciadamente, no le sonríe: su madre murió cuando era joven, dejando así su custodia a Naoyuki, su padre, quien, al verse afectado por esta trágica pérdida, queda hundido en el juego y el alcohol. La relación entre padre-hijo se complica hasta el punto en que Tomoya decide frecuentar su casa lo menos posible.
Cuando se dirige a su escuela, conoce a Nagisa Furukawa, una estudiante que cursa el tercer año de secundaria, al igual que él. Desde aquí las cosas empiezan a cambiar mucho para él. Empieza una amistad entre los dos, gracias a ello hacen muchos nuevos amigos a los cuales les ayudaran con sus problemas y como alcanzar los sueños de cada uno.
